Whenever we get visitors and we want to offer our visitors something very special, we go to eat in the Hülsemanns Schänke.

Very good food and great atmosphere. The service is great too. It's best to be reserved.

The menu on the internet and on the front door suggests cheaper prices for 3 days after our visit. For example, a pork crust cost 2 euros more than advertised and advertised on the Internet. Our first visit 07.2018 Very comfortable. One sits in the middle of the city and feels like a country inn. The food was with the best I've got in Lippstadt for a long time. Top cooked meat, very delicious sauces. Smears at the salad dressing but was ok. That's worth 5 stars. Update from 10.08.2019 Unfortunately, I have to deduct stars. At 18:30 reserved table, at 18:50 we were asked for the first time what we want to drink, that will not work! Also, the food was not more like the first visit. I had the lamb Kareee in Esstragonjus Lamb was a bit over the point but was still ok. The Esstragonjus was unfortunately reduced too much. Leaf spinach was just made warm without onion, bacon and garlic. Unfortunately it tastes like cow pasture. The mashed potato then too little milk and butter rounded it off unfortunately. In short, price / performance was not really good. So the tavern slips down with me at 2 ☆. If it was better, it will be changed

A warm, friendly, family business restaurant with authentic German cuisine, drinks and in a historic traditional German house. The staff is friendly, the portions are huge (a regular single person portion is more than enough for two people) and the atmosphere is excellent. From the location, interior to the lighting, food and drinks - this place is well worth your time and money.

Rustic cozy decor. Very attentive and friendly staff. Food was great. Partly already spicy, could have been a touch less. Overall top. My steak had a moment too long heat. That was too bad. Steak from my husband was perfect.
